BEE VET Teachers Handbook

The main aim of BEE VET Teachers Handbook is to support teachers responsible for the overall delivery of the curricula and the design of the syllabus (allocation of theory and practice across the school year and programme in general) in the field of Construction (for the relevant vocations and specialties offered by their school leading to one or more professional qualifications).

The BEE VET Teachers Handbook provides methodological guidance on the teaching/assessment methods, used by the VET teachers in the context of the existing best practices in the construction sector (incl. proposed BEE-VET topics in the Digital Toolkit under O1).

The BEE VET Teachers Handbook is focusing on the following main areas:

  • Specifics of the curricula for qualifications in Construction VET (particularly BEE-VET aspects and theory vs. practice);
  • Guidance on how to adapt and/or include topics related to green, sustainable and energy efficient construction in upper secondary VET;
  • Engagement of VET students – addressing their needs for gaining practical experience and acquaintance with the latest trends in the application of construction materials/technologies;
  • A step-by-step Guidance based on the developed BEE-VET Digital Toolkit, incl. proper structuring of theory and practice; introduction of practical exercises; acquaintance with existing best/innovative practices in the Construction sector;
  • Methodological guide on the presentation of the developed topics in BEE VET Digital Toolkit in upper secondary VET (EQF 3-4)– aiming adaptation and modernisation of existing VET training programmes; inclusion of new topics and/or expansion of existing ones;
  • Proposal for introduction of innovative methods for teaching, learning and assessment in the specific vocational subjects by using of digital technologies in the field of BEE-VET (possible solutions and options) - e.g. self-learning, collaborative learning, flipped classroom, problem based learning etc.
  • Expected learning outcomes (by topics and units);
  • Evaluation of VET students’ knowledge and skills acquired in the teaching and training process.
